Ganguwal Power House

Ganguwal Power House is run-of-the-river Power House. This Power House is on the NangalHydel Channel, which originates from the NangalDam.This Power House has been working very efficiently since 1955 with the equipment from Westing House- USA and Hitachi-Japan. The Power House generates a total of 77.65 MW. The two units of WestingHouse-USA origin have already been renovated and modernised by BHEL units. The third unit of Hitachi make is planned to be renovated and modernised shortly.

Bhakra Left & Right Bank Power Houses

Bhakra Project is a marvel in engineering. The 225.55 m high Dam is of concrete straight gravity type having a gross storage capacity of 9340 million cum. This project generates a total of 1325 MW power from its Right and Left bank power houses.
